Changing lives for the better by providing clean water resources, improving educational opportunities, and inspiring hope in rural areas starting in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Brief History

DRC-map.png

Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) holds over half of Africa’s water reserves. Yet, three-quarters of the population doesn’t have access to clean drinking water in a country of 93+ million people (see UN report)

Bakwa-Tshileu [a rural village of over 3,000 people] doesn’t have a single groundwater well.

People have to walk 16 kilometers (10 miles) round trip to collect 20 liters of water at a shared river.

Bakwa-Tshileu, a village where my family came from, is one example of many villages in rural areas that face these issues.

This is just one example of the many reasons [which will be revealed in detail in my writings] that led me to begin this ministry.

About Born to Inspire Ministries

Born to Inspire Ministries (BIM) is a faith-based missionary non-profit organization focusing on meeting basic human needs in rural villages, educating those in need, and advocating for change.

BIM was founded in 2023 and it is in its early launching stage, collaborating with local chief leaders and reaching out to Congolese officials to combat water crises in rural villages of the DRC.

Our Mission

Our mission has three main principles: Empower, Educate, and Inspire.

Inspiration

We inspire hope through storytelling and also through turning words into positive action.

Our Projects

Empowerment

Jesus provides us with living water to grow spiritually. People need clean drinking water to physically survive, grow and thrive.

Water is one of the many needs of the people in rural areas in DRC. So, it is at the top of the list of needs we aim to address, as we believe having clean water available can empower people to accomplish more things in a day. Instead of people spending hours walking to the river for water, they will now use those hours to grow corps in the field, do school work, get involved in the community, and/or engage in activities that could keep them mentally and spiritually fit.

In the near future, BIM aims to raise funds to acquire the equipment needed to kickstart the drilling of groundwater wells in rural villages starting in Lomami.

Education

More detail to come

Everyone’s life journey is different, but one can learn and influence positive change through storytelling and taking positive action to resolve issues facing rural communities.

Inspiration

More detail to come

Our goal is to uplift people and communities in need (spiritually, emotionally, mentally, socially, or physically) so that they too may be equipped to serve.
